We want every purchase to be a good one. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
Return Window
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return any item purchased from Scattered Books.
Condition
Items must be returned in original condition. For books, this means the books must be unread, spine must be unbroken, and pages free of any writing, highlighting, or damage.
How to Return
In-store returns are preferred and the fastest way to get your refund or exchange. Bring your item and proof of purchase to our Chappaqua location during business hours. For online or distance purchases that can’t be returned in person, contact us at [your email] to arrange a mail-in return.
Refunds
You choose how you’d like your refund. We offer a full refund to your original payment method or store credit, whichever you prefer.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs depend on the reason for the return:
- If the item arrived damaged, was incorrect, or has a defect, Scattered Books covers return shipping.
- If you’re returning for any other reason, return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
